Found on the mud in July 2003, this bird commuted between here and Shibdon Pond depending on the state of the tide

These 2 photographs are of a group of 8 birds, 7 in summer plumage, present on the river mud between Costco and Timber beach from 12:15 to 13:00 on the 3rd May 2004 before they flew downriver. One of the birds was colour ringed. (See below)
