Moths - Another Chestnut, this time seen at Strother Hills on 2nd followed by a trapping session on the 5th producing 2 Pale Brindled Beauty and a Dark Chestnut

Small Tortoisehell - 1 in a garden at Blaydon on 7th and another at HaggHill the following day.
Red Admiral - 1 at Thornley Woods on 4th was the first butterfly of the year.

Moths - Chestnut and Early Moth were the first two species of the year, both trapped on 27th.

Honey Bee - Several Honey Bees were around last year's nest in the oak tree at Lamesley water Meadows on 18th
