Frequent in woods and on shady roadsides. Flower diameter c 20-30 mm Petals notched to about halfway, petals much longer than sepals. All leaves unstalked, narrow and tapering from near the base to a pointed tip. Flowers over 15 mm in diameter. Other features: Leaves a somewhat bluish, not yellowish, green. On young shoots leaves held upright closely pressed together as in last picture. Some shoots do not flower. Stems square. Stamens up to 10, styles 3. Sepals not conspicuously veined as they are in Lesser Stitchwort
