Barnacle Geese 47 flew WSW at Clara Vale and 90 in afternoon
at Pelaw on 28th.
Wigeon at Shibdon on 1st. Far Pasture on 15th and 19th.
Shoveler at Watergate on 19th.
Buzzard on Ravensworth Fell.
Water Rail - juv at Far Pasture all month. 4 at Shibdon pond on 12th.
Lapwing 455 at Shibdon on 16th.
Snipe 26 at Shibdon on 22nd.
Jack Snipe at Far Pasture on 30th.
Black-tailed Godwit - up to 4 at Shibdon on 1st

Green Sandpipers at Far Pasture from 1st
Great black-backed Gull 81 at Clara Vale on 12th. Roosting, but large nos on
Tyne feeding on dead and dying salmon.
Short-eared Owl at Burdon Moor on 3rd and other dates.
Swift - 1 at Strother Hills and Far Pasture on 2nd and Burdon Moor on 7th.
Kingfisher at Shibdon on 18th, not many here this summer as water level low.
