Also 1, possibly two Common Chiffchaffs singing, 2 Little Grebe and a Dipper on the river.

[Siberian] Chiffchaff at Lamesley reedbeds [Paul Davidson]
This bird shows some of the characteristics of the Siberian race Phylloscopus (collybita) tristis such as the presence of grey-brown in the upper parts and absence of olive in the crown and mantle but perhaps shows too much green in the wing and does not have the black legs and bill usually associated with this race. The call, a thin piping 'cheeee', near-monosyllabic Bullfinch-like or Dunnock-like was frequently uttered. It may be that this bird is a Scandinavian Chiffchaff but from the eastern end of its range, and frequently called 'Eastern Chiffchaff' Phylloscopus collybita abietinus/tristis
